The performance "TROPHÄEN", formerly known as "Fleischtheke" and previously as "Magic Star Setting Powder Lip FetishMatt - Product: Daddy Issues", critically analyzes the male perspective on the female body and the representation of it as an object. Even in the present day, we continue to be reduced to our outward appearance and forced into roles from which escape is often difficult or impossible.
The performance confronts this phenomenon and problem directly. Four figures are presented on stage who influenced us as girls in our childhood and youth and continue to influence us today. These figures are not only portrayed, but virtually exhibited and brought to life through choreography.
The elegant Cleopatra, the little mermaid, the delicate ballerina and the stereotypical figure of the "naughty prostitute" - these four stereotypes represent attributes in the context of femininity. The performance illustrates the ambivalence and challenges associated with these predefined roles and expectations. The aim is to impressively show how these stereotypes have influenced our understanding and perception of the female body not only in the past, but also today.
